TWO MEN ARRESTED FOLLOWING CITY FIRES

Gardaí investigating a number of suspicious fires around the city early yesterday have arrested two men.

In the Renmore area, a vehicle was set on fire and another vehicle was damaged.

Fire services and Gardaí also had to deal with a fire at the entrance to an apartment block in the area as well as a fire at a wheelie bin.

In Ballybane, a fire broke out at an out-building also in the early hours of yesterday.

Two men have been arrested and are being held at Milstreet Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
