Two men have appeared in court in connection with last Monday’s attempted robbery of the post office in Creggs

Gerard Mooney, who’s in his thirties and from Castlerea, was charged with possession of stolen property

Ciaran McLoughlin, who’s in his thirties and from Castlerea, was charged with possession of stolen property and with the unauthorised taking of an MPV

The two men appeared before Loughrea District court yesterday

A third man who was held for questioning has been released without charge
