TWO HOUSES DAMAGED IN NEWCASTLE FIRE

It took almost three hours to contain a blaze that ripped through a house in Newcastle last night.

The alarm was raised at around 8.15pm and 3 units of Galway Fire Service were dispatched to the scene.

The fire caused extensive damage to two homes in the Lower Newcastle area but it’s understood there was no one present in the houses at the time.
