TWO GALWAY PRIMARY CARE CENTRES TO BE COMPLETED BY 2016

Planned primary care centres for Gort and Tuam will be completed by the end of 2016.

That’s according to Galway Labour Senator Lorraine Higgins who has received the confirmation from the Minister for Health.

The two county centres are part of a group of 35 potential locations nationwide which were earmarked for such developments under last July’s stimulus package.

Out of these, 20 will be offered to the market subject to agreement with local GPs and the HSE and subject to site suitability and availability.

Galway East Labour Senator Lorraine Higgins says although locations are not yet confirmed, the estimated timeframe for the proposed Galway centres is the end of 2016.
