Two found not guilty in manslaughter trial of NUIG student Andrew Dolan

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Two people have been found not guilty of the manslaughter of NUIG biomedical engineering student Andrew Dolan.

However, 21 year old Jessica Hughes of Greenfield Heights, Rathwire, Killucan, Co Westmeath, and Patrick Daly, 23, of Mulphedder, Clonard, Co Meath HAVE been found guilty of assault.

20 year old Andrew Dolan from Carrick-on-Shannon in County Leitrim was injured during an assault on Pearse Street in Mullingar on December 23rd 2011.

He died in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin nine days later.

The jury of seven men and five women began deliberating on Tuesday afternoon and concluded today.
