TUAM TO HOLD SPECIAL CEREMONY FOR 9/11 VICTIMS

A special ceremony is to be held tomorrow [Sunday] in Tuam to remember Ann Marie McHugh who died in the 9/11 twin tower attacks.

The event will mark the 10th anniversary of the tragedy where more than 3 thousand people lost their lives including the local woman who had worked at the World Trade centre.

A wreath will be laid at the Garden of Remembrance in Chapel Lane, immediately after 10 30 mass tomorrow which will be offered by Fr Francis Mitchell for all victims.

Speaking to Galway Bay FM news, Padraic McHugh says the family appreciates the support shown by the Tuam community during what is a very sad and challenging time.
