TUAM ROADWORKS SUSPENDED FOR COUNTY FINAL

Roadworks in Tuam are to be suspended this Sunday to facilitate the county football final.

It follows recent calls to temporarily call off the works on the N17 approaching the town this weekend to accommodate the increased traffic volumes to Tuam Stadium.

The 28 million euro ‘big dig’ is nearing its final phase with works now on the main Galway road out of the town.

Coffey Construction has agreed to abstain from the works on Sunday as a gesture of goodwill.
