TUAM ROAD BUSINESSES OUTRAGED AT DELAY IN TURNING ON LIGHTS AT FLEMING’S JUNCTION

Businesses on the Tuam road have hit out at the city council over the delay in turning on the lights at the Font junction at Flemings garage.

Works have been ongoing at the junction for several weeks now, as council staff removed the roundabout, to create a lights controlled intersection.

Local business owners say the junction should have been ready in time for the bank holiday weekend as the city council originally promised.

The Council confirmed to FYI Galway this evening that the lights at what was the Font roundabout will be turned on next Wednesday.
