An Bord Pleanala has shot down proposals to build a number of industrial units at the back of the Pulse factory site in Tuam.

After much concern and objections by several residents in the vicinity, the Board rejected the inspector’s recommendation to grant permission for the development.

The Board has now recommended that a scaled down proposal would be more appropriate.

Tuam resident Ann Coen, who objected to the proposed industrial units, is relieved they’ve been shot down as she says they would have created a massive instrusion on residents everyday lives.
