Tuam’s Superintendent Gearoid Begley has met a delegation from the Town Council over concerns about alleged recent attacks on people in the town.

The most recent incident was on Saturday night when two men were assaulted at Foster Place.

Superintendent Begley told the delegation that if any of those who allege they were assaulted make formal complaints to the Gardai all will be fully investigated.

The Superintendent said extra resources had been put in place in recent weeks for policing the town, especially at weekends and this would continue.
