Tuam gaelscoil to get new building after long campaign

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Gaelscoil in Tuam is to get a new building.
Minister of State, Galway East T.D, Ciaran Cannon, has confirmed that the Department of Education will provide a new building for Gaelscoil Iarfhlatha.
It follows a long campaign by the local community.
The Department intends to lodge a planning application for a new building in the next fortnight, with the project going to tender in the autumn.
It’s thought construction of the new school at a town centre location will begin in January and be completed by autumn next year. (2015)
Speaking to Galway Bay fm News, Minister Cannon says the owner of the site has agreed to a school being built.
