Tuam drama group get ready for second production

TUAM’S newest drama group are preparing for their second production when they will stage John B. Keane’s often grim look at bachelor life in rural Ireland, The Chastitute.

The Little City Drama Group were so buoyed up by the success of the stage version of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest that they decided not to stop there.

It was out of frustration over the lack of drama productions in Tuam that this group was set up and it was originally for just a once off show.

But that proved to be a sell out and the founders, Maureen Pierce and Frank Holliman, decided not to let it rest there and have brought together a group of the finest local actors.
