TUAM DEPUTATION TO MEET MINISTER ON RAILWAY ISSUE

A deputation from Tuam is to meet Minister Noel Dempsey to ensure that the rail link to the town is completed under the “Transport 21 Initiative”.

A letter from the Minister read to this week’s meeting of the town board was described by some members as disappointing.

Councillor Peter Warren said they would come face to face with the Minister before a deadline for funding in the next budget.
