TUAM COUNCIL GRILLS OFFICIALS ABOUT LAYOFFS

A Tuam Town Councillor has asked if any officials from Galway County Council have been let go, in the wake of all the workers that are no longer employed by the local authority.

Councillor Owen Ward asked the question at this week’s meeting of Tuam Town Council.

Cllr Owen Ward asked who have the County Council officials left “to govern now” if the workers on the ground are no longer there.

Town Engineer Enda Gallagher, said he did not have information to hand regarding this.
