TUAM COUNCIL DELEGATION TO SEEK ASSURANCES ON CEL JOBS

Tuam town councillors are planning to meet with the town’s biggest employer to ensure no jobs will be lost in the aftermath of the company’s sale to a French multi-national.

French-listed Valeo announced a buy-out of Connaught Electronics Ltd for an undisclosed sum on July 27th.

Tuam councillors are said to be concerned at the possible implications for the town’s local economy, but sellers CEL have given a full assurance no jobs will be lost
