TUAM COULD HAVE AMBULANCE BASE BY 2009

Tuam could have an ambulance base up and running by September 2009 if the Health Service Executive gives the go ahead

At a meeting of Tuam Town Council this week, Ray Bonner and Páidí ó Riordain of Galway Ambulance Service addressed the members

Mr. Bonner said a proposal has now been compiled for a base for 2 ambulances at the Grove site in Tuam

He told the meeting that he expects a positive reponse from the HSE, who will make their final decision in February next year [08]
