TUAM COMPANY PLANS MAJOR EXPANSION

One of Tuam’s biggest employers is planning to expand its facility.

JFC Manufacturing at Killaloonty has lodged plans to build a European distribution depot as well as expand its existing manufacturing base.

The proposed development will involve the purchase of around 5 acres of land adjacent to JFC Manufacturing at Killaloonty on the Weir road.

County planners are expected to make a decision on the expansion plans next month.
