TRIAL UNDERWAY IN CONNEMARA ALLEGED ABUSE CASE

The trial of a 41 year old Dublin man who is charged with sexually assaulting four children from the one family while he was renting a holiday home in Connemara during the 1990’s will begin before a jury at Galway Circuit Criminal Court this afternoon.

The man who may not be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty before the court this morning to seventeen charges of sexual assault, involving three sisters and their brother on various dates between 1997 and 2000.

The trial is expected to last three to four days before a jury of five women and seven men.
