TRIAL FOR MAN CHARGED IN CONNECTION WITH CITY ASSAULT

A city man has been sent forward for trial to Galway Circuit Criminal Court charged with seriously assaulting a 28 year man in the city last December

23 year old Dean O’Brien, 16 Drom Chaoin, Bishop O’Donnell Road is charged with assaulting Barry Mannion causing him harm near a taxi rank on Dominick Street, Galway at 3:30 am on the 28th of December.

O’Brien is further charged with recklessly or intentionally causing serious harm to Mr Mannion on the same occasion.
