TRIAL DATE FOR MAN CHARGED WITH ARMED ROBBERY AT LACKAGH FAMILY HOME

One member of a Dublin criminal gang charged in connection with a botched armed robbery at the home of a prominent Lackagh business family has been sent forward for trial to the Circuit Criminal Court next month.

54 year old Thomas Freeman of 29 Deansrath Grove, Clondalkin, Dublin 2, is charged with the false imprisonment of Julian and Emma Flynn along with their children Max, Jonathan and Laura Flynn at their home in Lackagh on Sunday night, February 15th and with the robbery of €3,200 cash from Emma Flynn on the same night.

He is further charged with the false imprisonment of Nicholette and Jim Carroll and Mary Murphy on the same night and with having a Zafar shotgun in his possession with intent to commit a robbery at the Flynn home on the same night.
