TRIAL CONTINUES OF GALWAY MAN ACCUSED OF ATTACKING NURSE

A Galway man accused of attacking and raping a nurse in an alleyway says the incident took place because there is "something wrong" with him and that he had a "crazy" reaction to drink and drugs.

The 24-year-old has pleaded not guilty to rape of the victim but guilty to aggravated sexual assault and assault causing harm in the early hours of October 16, 2010.
