Traffic restrictions in place for royal visit

The following traffic restrictions are now in place around the city for the visit of Price Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall:

• There is no parking on University Road from midnight last night (Monday) until this evening.
• University Road will be closed to inbound traffic from the junction of University Road / Newcastle Road to the Cathedral from 12 noon – 3pm today.
• St. Dominicks Road and School Avenue in the Claddagh will be closed until mid-afternoon. There will be no parking along Fairhill Road.
• Druid’s Lane is closed to pedestrians until mid-afternoon.
• Flood Street is closed to traffic from the junction of New Dock Street to Augustine Street until mid afternoon.
• A Clearway is in effect on New Dock Street.
