TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS IN CITY

Motorists are advised that there will be severe traffic restrictions in and around the city today.

Traffic disruption is expected in the Salthill area where the Mumford and Sons concert is due to get underway at 3pm.

This will be followed by the Connacht Semi Final between Galway and Sligo at Pearse Stadium at 6pm.

A barrier system will be in place from lunch time in the areas of Dalysfort Road, Rockbarton Road, Threadneedle Road and Devon Gardens.

There will be a strong Garda presence monitoring any unauthorised parking.
