Mary Coughlan...Pearse Stadium gig.

Some the country’s top musical acts, including Christy Moore, Mary Coughlan and the Stunning, as well as comedians Ardal O’Hanlon and Deirdre O’Kane, will perform at Pearse Stadium between August 26-29. These live shows are being presented by the Róisín Dubh and Galway Comedy Festival as part of a series of events receiving financial support from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.

Christy Moore will headline on Thursday, August 26, supported by Kerry alt-folk singer, Junior Brother. On Friday night, there’s comedy with Ardal O’Hanlon and Deirdre O’Kane, with Karl Spain as MC. On Saturday, August 28, Mary Coughlan will celebrate the 35th anniversary of her debut album, Tired, and will also perform some of her other popular songs. Mary is supported by another talented Galwegian, Niamh O’ Regan.

The Stunning gig on Sunday, August 29, also promises to be a special homecoming. They’ll be supported by Galway multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Tracy Bruen.

Tickets for all events go on sale this Friday, August 13, at staggered times due to expected demand.

Tickets for Christy Moore are €35 each and will be on sale from 9am. Friday night’s comedy gig is €25 and tickets are available from 11am. Mary Coughlan’s show featuring Niamh Regan will also cost €25 and tickets are available at 1pm.
