One of Ireland’s best live bands, We Banjo 3, will be joined by special guests including Máirtín O’Connor, Sharon Shannon, and Eleanor Shanley on Thursday, April 12, for a special concert in Galway City.

The event, in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church, is in aid of the recently-launched charity, Rosabel’s Rooms at the Irish Hospice Foundation.

Other guests for the event include Trad on the Prom, Don Stiffe, Michelle Lally and Corina Carrick.

Rosabel’s Rooms is a special national initiative to provide comfort and support to families in Ireland experiencing the death of a child.

The project was founded by Suzanne McClean and Gary Monroe, who tragically lost their daughter Rosabel last April, aged 16 months. Ireland’s first Rosabel’s Room is currently underway at University Hospital Galway.  Through its Room-to-Heal fund, this project will also facilitate therapeutic and financial supports for individuals and families affected by the death of a child.

The concert next Thursday is ticket-only with limited seating. It is a free event with suggested donation of €20 to Rosabel’s Rooms. Doors are at 7pm, and the show starts at 7.30pm. Pre-booking is essential. Seating is unassigned and on a first-come, first-served basis. To book, visit Monroe.ie.
