Timing of extra special needs posts for Galway schools criticised

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The timing of the announcement of 18 extra posts for special needs assistants in primary and secondary schools in Galway is coming in for criticism this morning.
29 per-cent of schools across the country will see an increase in SNAs from September.
Galway primary schools will get an extra 10 SNA posts while secondary schools will receive an additional 8 SNAs.
The Special Needs Parents Association say the timing of the announcement is a ‘logistical nightmare’.
