Three thousand Galway students to get Leaving Cert results
Galway bay fm newsroom – Almost 3 thousand students across Galway will get their Leaving cert results today.
1,465 female and 1,427 male candidates sat the established Leaving Cert exams this year, while 35 female and 53 male sat the Leaving cert applied.
Nationally, over fifty five thousand students will receive their exam results today.
The number of candidates sitting the tests this year fell to its lowest level since 2007 – but the uptake for Higher Level Maths increased to a record level.
One student received nine A1 grades at higher level.
The State Examinations Commission is again apologising for an error in the maths paper – which it says was taken into account in the marking process
