Three thousand Galway junior cert students to receive results

Galway bay fm newsroom – Over three thousand students at schools across Galway will get their Junior Cert results today.

15 hundred girls and 14 hundred boys from the city and county sat the state exam in June.

This year, almost 60 thousand students took the exam at venues across the country – up from over 58 thousand in 2012.

Most students will collect their marks in person but the results will also be available online at examinations.ie after 4 pm.

Junior Cert students who’re not happy with their results this morning  are being reminded they can appeal.

However Jackie O’Callaghan of the National Parents’ Council says before lodging a formal appeal students should get some advice
