Three rescued in overnight operation on Connemara mountain

Galway Bay Fm newsroom – Three mountain climbers were rescued after they got into difficulties in the Maumturk Mountains in Connemara late last night.
At 11pm Galway Mountain Rescue Team were tasked by An Gardaí to locate and rescue the party of 3 people on rough terrain near Loch Mam Ochoige in the Maumturk Mountains.
The Team responded quickly and located the hill party using SARLOC technology whereby their smartphone assisted in determining their location and brought them to safety around 3:00 am today.
