It’s understood three parties are interested in investing in Galway based airline, Aer Arann, which has just gone into examinership.

Management at the airline insist that customers at Galway Airport and other airports will not be affected by the move.

The High Court has appointed Michael McAteer of Grant Thornton to implement a restructuring plan at the Galway-based airline, which is owned by Pádraig Ó Céidigh.

It’s suffered 18 million euro in losses since 2008, and was badly hit by the volcanic ash crisis.

Director of Corporate Affairs with Aer Arann, Andrew Kelly, told Galway Bay Fm News that the company is still operating as normal.
