THREE INJURED FOLLOWING ROAD CRASH NEAR CORAFIN

2 women have been seriously injured following a road crash which occurred between Corafin and the Palm tree pub on the Athenry Road at Ardskeaghbeg,

The crash happened shortly after 12 o clock this afternoon and the women were removed to University Hospital Galway where they are being treated for their injuries.

The male driver of the second car involved in the incident is also being treated for minor injuries

Tuam Gardai the Ambulance and 2 units of Tuam Fire Brigade attended the scene.

The road is closed and diversions are in place.

Tuam Gardai say it will be a number of hours before the road reopens
