THREE GALWAY SCHOOLS HAVE STAFFING APPEALS UPHELD

Three small primary schools in Galway have had their appeals on teacher allocations upheld.

It follows a meeting of the Primary Staffing Appeals board which examined 72 such applications from small schools across the country.

34 of these schools have had their appeals provisionally upheld.

The successful Galway schools are Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal in Ballygar, St. Gabriels in Kilconnell and Scoil Naomh Iosef in Castlehackett, Belclare.
