THREE FIRMS NAMED FOR DESIGN WORK ON WESTSIDE AMENITY PARK

Three firms have been named to proceed with the design stage of a long-awaited amenity park for the Westside.
The masterplan is estimated to cost in the region of 1.4 million euro, with a funding shortfall of 900 thousand euro yet to be filled by Galway City Council.
Harewood Malone O’ Regan have been appointed as project managers while Cunnane Stratton Reynolds have been appointed as landscape architects and planners.
The Irish Institute of Sports Surfacing has also come on board.
This team of specialised consultants will will proceed with the design works and project plans and it will then go to Part 8 before proceeding to tender.
The entire master plan is estimated to cost in the region of 1.4 million million with 500 thousand in funding secured from the Seamus Quirke road project.
City Officials say efforts are ongoing to secure the remaining 900 thousand.
