THREE ARRESTED OVER DEATH OF GALWAY STUDENT

Two men in their 20s and a teenage girl are due before court this afternoon, charged in relation with an assault in Mullingar last year, after which an NUIG student died.

On the first of January, 20-year-old student Andrew Dolan from Carrick-on-Shannon died in Beaumont Hospital, from injuries he sustained during the attack.

The assault happened just before Christmas, on the 23rd of December, on Pearse St. in the town.

Three people charged in connection with the incident are to appear before a sitting of Mullingar District Court this afternoon [Feb 27].
