THOUSANDS PAY THEIR RESPECTS TO FAMILY OF COUPLE KILLED IN US CRASH

Thousands of mourners turned out in Abbeyknockmoy last evening to pay their respects to the family of Ann Coleman and her husband Joe O’ Connell who died in a crash in the U.S, eight days ago.

The funeral for the couple, will be held in Brooklodge church at 12noon and will be concelebrated by local parish priest Fr. Joe O’ Brien.

Fourth, fifth and sixth class pupils from Crumlin National School in Ballyglunin will perform a guard of honour.

Afterwards Joe and Ann’s remains will be removed to Causeway in Tralee County Kerry and burial will take place tommorow.

Camogie star Ann, and former Kerry hurler Joe, who had been living in the States, were killed when the car they were travelling in lost control on Highway 61.
