Thieves strike again as burglary spate continues

GARDAÍ are investigating another burglary in the North Galway area which occurred over the weekend when a business premises was broken into.

The raid occurred in the early hours of Monday morning last (March 13) at a pub and shop in the village of Castleblakeney.

A back window of the premises was smashed to gain entry and the thieves made off with a cigarette machine, a quantity of alcohol and a small amount of cash.

Later that day, the cigarette machine was found in the Kilteevan area of County Roscommon.

Gardaí have appealed for any information into the latest burglary which follows on from a number of break-ins in the North Galway area over recent weeks.

They are also continuing to investigate a number of break-ins in the North Galway area which occurred at business premises and private houses.

Two business premises were broken into in Tuam while there were also burglaries in the Dunmore, Ballinasloe and Lavally areas, all of them occurring on the weekend of March 4/5.
