Do you experience ringing, hissing, buzzing or other sounds in your ears or head?

Many of us do. In fact, Tinnitus affects around 15 per cent of our population and can strike anyone, from young children to the elderly.

Tinnitus is a perception of sound without any actual sound source. Some can experience temporary Tinnitus which might build gradually and for others it may arrive very suddenly.

This initially can seem very frightening and it is recommended that you seek medical assessment to rule out anything more sinister.

“Tinnitus can present for many different reasons. Physical causes such as hearing loss whether mild, slight or severe or other physical reasons such as blood pressure, gut issues, head or neck injury to name but a few. Emotional triggers without hearing loss such as stress, grief or trauma can also open the gateway to experience Tinnitus,” she reveals.
