ONE of Ireland’s most iconic band, The Four of Us will take to the stage at recently refurbished city venue, Halo tonight, August 17, from 11pm. They will be playing upstairs at the venue.

The Four of Us, from Newry in Co Down, burst on to the Irish music scene in 1989 with their debut album, Songs for the Tempted, which shot straight to number one in the charts.

They have since released six albums, all of which have been Top 20 hits in Ireland. To this day their smash hit, Mary, remains one of the most played tracks on Irish radio and is currently featured on Singstar, one of Sony Playstation’s most popular games.

Founding members and brothers, Brendan and Declan Murphy, have been entertaining audiences on their recent tours of Germany and Ireland with their superb acoustic performances, while The Four of Us were voted one of the Top 10 Best Irish Bands of all time in a recent TV3 series.

Doors for The Four of Us upstairs at Halo will open at 11pm. Admission on Fridays is €5, with women going free before 12.30.

Once in the venue patrons may move freely between the nightclub and live music area upstairs.
