TEMPORARY ENTRANCE FOR WESTSIDE SHOPPING CENTRE

A new temporary entrance to Westside shopping centre is to be opened during upgrade works on the Séamus Quirke Road.

There had been concern from local businesses about closing off the existing entrance entirely to facilitate road widening along Séamus Quirke Road.

Mayor Michael Crowe says he spoke to Director of Services for Roads, Ciarán Hayes about changing the temporary layout plans.

Mayor Crowe says it’s now proposed to open a temporary entrance to Westide shopping centre for about 8 weeks.
