Teen band to scale the heights

Rock’n’Roll thrives on youth, even for those with veteran status. The Undertones still tour, tapping into the ceaseless quest for Teenage Kicks; the Rolling Stones have been re-christened the Strolling Bones by some.
Unlike Mick and Keith, however, time is on the side of Corrundulla based quintet Midway.
With an average age of 16 they have gone from strength to strength since forming in summer 2006. Lead singer Connor Conway, drummer Kieran Moylan and guitarist Eoghan Collier have been friends since primary school. They met Rob Flynn (guitar) and bassist Duncan Moss at secondary school.
So what led the members of the band to becoming musicians? “I just though, the guitar’s cool I might as well pick it up,” says Eoghan. “For me it was Flea,” adds Duncan, who’s an avid fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ nimble-fingered bassist.
