Technical examination following another fire at Corrib Great Southern Hotel
Galway Bay fm newsroom – A technical examination will take place today following another fire at the disused Corrib Great Southern Hotel on the Dublin Road in the city overnight.
Gardai and two units of the fire service from Galway and Athenry attended the fire at around 11.20pm.
It took almost two hours to get the blaze under control.
This is the third fire at the derelict premises in five months.
Last week, fire fighters attended a blaze on the upper floors of the building.
Gardai have sealed off the scene and a technical examination will take place to determine the cause of last night’s fire.
