Technical exam following fire at abandoned city house

Gardai are to carry out a technical examination following a fire at an unoccupied city house overnight.

Two units of the city fire brigade attended the blaze at the abandoned property on Newcastle Road Lower at around 4.30 this morning.

Nobody was in the house at the time of the incident.

Gardai are to carry out an examination of the scene as part of their investigation into the cause of the fire.
