TCCA holds county meetings over further turf cutting ban
Galway Bay fm newsroom – The turf cutters and contractors association are holding three meetings in the county in relation to a ban on turf cutting at 75 more bogs next year.
PRO of the organisation Deputy Luke Ming Flanagan says 30 thousand people will be affected by the further restrictions which come into force in January.
The first meeting takes place in Ballymoe community centre tonight, then Ballygar community centre on Thursday and Abbeyknockmoy community centre on Friday.
Speaking on Galway Talks Roscommon/South Leitrim TD Deputy Flanagan says there is opposition to the plans and legislaters have a duty to resolve the matter.
