TAOISEACH SAYS RESPITE SERVICES WILL NOT BE CUT

The Taoiseach says no decision has been made to cut respite services – and he won’t allow it to happen.

Brian Cowen’s comments come as thousands prepare to take to the streets outside the Dáil and in towns and cities around the country, including Galway, to protest at cutbacks.

The Brothers of Charity say they have to cut back services after having their budgets cut by the HSE.
