Taoiseach says Loughrea Intreo office will offer valuable supports

Speaking after the official opening of the Galway Continental Christmas Market in Eyre Square last evening, he said he hopes the employment hub will be hugely successful.

The new base will serve as a centralised hub for advice on social welfare supports and individualised plans for jobseekers to increase their employability.

The Taoiseach attended a number of engagements across the city and county yesterday, and switched on the city’s christmas lights shortly after 6 last evening.

Hundreds gathered in Eyre Square for the event including a group of protesters, protesting against government policy and austerity.

Speaking to Galway Bay fm news, Taoiseach Enda Kenny says the new office in Loughrea will benefit both jobseekers and employers.
