TAOISEACH REFUSES TO BE DRAWN ON MAGDALENE APOLOGY
Date Published: 19-Feb-2013
The Taoiseach has refused to say if he will apologise to the survivors of the Magdalene Launderies today.
Enda Kenny is expected to offer a full apology to the women during a Dail debate on the report into the launderies, one of which was based at Forster Street in the city.
The Taoiseach and Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore have met with a number of the survivors since the report was published two weeks ago.
Speaking on his way into Government Buildings this morning, Enda Kenny refused to be drawn on the issue.
