TANAISTE REJECTS AVIVA ACCUSATIONS

Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has rejected opposition suggestions that the government did nothing to preserve AVIVA jobs.

The insurance company announced yesterday that 950 jobs are to be go at it’s operations in Galway, Dublin, Cork.

Over 200 staff work at the call centre in Knocknacarra while around 12 work at the general insurance company in Eyre square.
