ONE of the country’s ‘biggest player’ in the food export business is inviting West of Ireland graduates to consider applying for inclusion in their 2019 graduate programme.

Ornua – owner of the iconic Kerrygold brand – have announced that they will be offering 15 Irish graduates to join them from 2019 in their month graduate programme.

The successful graduates will undertake two placements as part of the Ornua Graduate Programme, which normally includes time overseas for most participants.

The programme will cover such areas as Information and Communications Technology; Human Resources; Procurement; Sales and Marketing; Health and Safety; Operations; Engineering and Supply Chain Management.

Ornua also point out that their current CEO – John Jordan – joined Ornua (then the Irish Dairy Board) as a graduate, 21 years ago.

“Graduates considering what we have to offer have much to look forward to. The Ornua of today offers world class opportunities,” said John Jordan.

Successful candidates on the Ornua Graduate Programme will receive formal training from the Irish Management Institute and will be individually mentored by  a member of Ornua’s senior management team. The deadline for applications is October 18 next.

Ornua is Ireland’s largest exporter of dairy produce with annual sales of €2 billion across 110 countries dotted across the world. The company has a total staff complement of 2,000.
