Gardai are investigating a suspicious approach to an 8 year old girl in the Mervue area

The incident took place at 3.30 yesterday afternoon [mon april 27] near the GAA pitches in Old Mervue

The little girl was cycling near the pitches when she claims a man tried to entice her into his black van, but she managed to run away
