SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR CITY MAN FOR TOY GUN OFFENCE
Date Published: 02-Jul-2008
A Galway city man who threatened a bouncer at his local pub with a toy gun after being barred from the premises, has been given a suspended eight- month sentence and fined €500
45 year old Michael Nolan, 3 Cooke’s Terrace, Bohermore first appeared before the court last week but the matter was adjourned until today’s court.
Judge Mary Fahy said the use of toy gun in the commission of an offence was a new type of crime for Galway and she needed time to consider an appropriate sanction.
